Dr Natalia Chavez saw me this morning. I traveled three hours to see her to check my teeth and do cleaning. Unfortunately, unlike my first visit, the service I received today was not what I expected, and caused me to give her a low rating. The reasons? Several: 1) I asked her to check me for cavities and do cleaning. She did a quick look at my lower and upper jaw and decided to do cleaning on my lower jaw. Dra Chavez indicated that she would check for cavities while doing the cleaning. Since she did not clean my upper jaw, she never checked the upper jaw teeth for cavities. 2) Dra Chavez applied anesthetic to my lower jaw to do the cleaning. Anesthetic was effective on my left side. But a few teeth on my right side did not seem to have been affected by the anesthetic. So, during cleaning I experienced acute pain in that area. Dra Chavez noticed I reacted whenever she worked on those couple of teeth. And expressed that the anesthetic effect was gone. I explained that it was not the case, that the pain in that area was there from the beginning. I expressed to her that the anesthetic did not reach those teeth. She seemed offended by my remark and replied that it might not real, that I might be responding to the noise of the machine basically suggesting it was just in my mind. It offended me that she assumed I did not feel pain that it was just in my mind. 3) At the end of the cleaning I asked her to check for cavities. She replied "I already checked". But truly I never saw her checking my upper teeth 4) I was not given an antimicrobial wash at the end of the procedure. This is a standard practice to prevent infections, but I did not receive it. 5) When paying I was surprised at the charges. When I asked, the receptionist checked with Dra Chavez who let her know the reason: Deep cleaning. But she never told me she was going to perform deep cleaning. I understood she was going to perform regular cleaning. As a matter of fact I had my teeth cleaned at another clinic a couple of months ago. My main reason for the visit was to check for cavities.

To be honest I am sorry to give this poor rating for Dra Chavez. Maybe she was having a bad day. But the dental care she provided today was not acceptable. Again, she might have not had a good mirning. But, to be honest I will not return to her office

I got a new smile. Everyone is so kind and polite. I hate the dentist but they made my experience so comfortable. I reccomend Dr. Chavez anyone in the US looking to get implants, crown. Cleaning, and anything else . She is the best
